ING IMA MU KABUD
In the tender warmth of our mother's bosom
We take nourishment and armor to combat the ills of life
At the very moment she brought us into the world.
From the soft and fragrant smell of our mother's bosom
We sniffed the scent of peace and calm like no other
Which no scent even the finest perfumery could master.
The perfect curve of our mother's bosom
Can only fit our heads' constant turning and growing bodies
When no crib of the finest craftsmanship can lull us to slumber.
Somehow only the touch of our mother's bosom
Brings the healing salve on our parched foreheads in fever's delirium
No manmade concoction can offer relief.
Mama's perfection in God's hand created her Bosom
To nurture
. . . to warm
. . . . to cradle
. . . . . to comfort
. . . . . . to heal.
And now we her children and all who love her give her back to be covered in God's infinite grace in Heaven.
