The poets have granted me translation and publication rights. Please note that I have opted to use the contemporary Kapampangan spelling in these translations.


ING MATA NG DONYA

Oyni ing mata nang Donya

Aganaka mu kanita, kalantung ning

ING PAMANIMBENTU KING YATU

Kanitang malambut pa ing gabun,
at ing lagkit ning alang kaangganan tinalakbung
ya king kalawakan,
at ing oras kabud ya gugulung king dikutan,
antimong mal a balbaling butil na gugulung
king ambun,
kanitang balu da ngan na
alang katuturan ing pawang bage-bage, dapot
ila mu ing katutuan.
Kanita ita, anyang malambut pa ing gabun,
na ating binulung—king siwalang malati at mayna
bilung na: "Aku."
